Why we exist
Most SA online casino reviews are written by content farms abroad. They have never been inside a Hollywoodbets shop, they do not know the FICA window closes at 17:00, and they have no idea why the Betway lobby is called Spins and not Spina Zonke. We do. So we built this.
Who writes the site
Two people. Sipho Khumalo is the lead writer, based in Johannesburg, six years writing about SA online gambling. Nomvula Dube is the fact-checker, based in Cape Town, ex-paralegal at a WCGRB-licensed bookmaker. Sipho writes, Nomvula checks. Nothing is published before Nomvula signs off.
Both names are pen names. We use pen names so reviewers can rate operators honestly without becoming personal targets of operator marketing teams. The work is real, the signed-off audit trail is real, the byline is consistent across every piece.
How we check operators
We do not claim to have run a deposit test at every operator. Each review is built from public sources you can check yourself:
- Licence. The operator's provincial licence, checked against the board's register and the NGB verified operators list.
- Offers and codes. The operator's live terms, plus our partner feed for welcome offers and promo codes. Promo pages show when the feed last updated.
- Games. The operator's own lobby, and RTP versions, volatility and max win from the studio's game sheet where the studio publishes one. When sources disagree, we say so or leave the figure out.
- Payments and limits. Methods, minimums and limits as the operator publishes them in its banking and terms pages.
- Corrections. If a reader or an operator shows us a figure is wrong, we fix it on the same page and log it on our corrections page.
Nomvula checks every figure against those sources before a review goes live.
How we score operators
Seven categories, weighted, capped at 5.0:

What we will not do
- We will not list an unlicensed offshore operator on this site.
- We will not rewrite a negative review because of a commercial conversation.
- We will not run paid placement disguised as editorial. Featured placements are labelled as such.
- We will not write about online casino games offered outside the fixed-odds contingency frame, because those are not legal in South Africa.
