The October 2026 schedule

Monthly total: R3,000,000 across 14 race nights. SAST is UTC+2 and South Africa does not observe daylight saving, so the times above are valid year-round. The race runs only at Hollywoodbets, on Habanero titles only. Pragmatic Play, Playtech, Yggdrasil and the rest of the lobby do not qualify.

How qualification works

Open a Hollywoodbets account, FICA-verify it, deposit, and place at least one R2 spin on any Habanero slot inside the race window. That puts you in the running for the night.

The jackpot triggers at a random moment between 20:30 and 22:30. Whoever places a qualifying spin closest to that trigger takes the night's biggest prize, the next player takes second, and so on until the night's positions are filled. It is not a stake-volume leaderboard. One position per player per race, and Fun Play and Bonus Play spins do not count.

Which slots qualify

Only Habanero titles. Pragmatic Play and other providers do not count. The Habanero titles most South African players use for the race are Hot Hot Fruit, Mystic Fortune Deluxe, Wild Trucks, and Rolling Roger. Which eligible title you pick does not change your odds of landing near the trigger, and bet size does not change slot RTP either, the games pay back the same percentage whether you stake R2 or R20.

Prize structure

The spin closest to the trigger takes the night's headline prize, and prizes then step down through the rest of the night's positions. Pools for October 2026 are R200,000 to R300,000 a night. The number of positions and the prize tiers for each night sit in the Hollywoodbets monthly terms, and we do not publish them until we have read them there.

Responsible play

Chasing the trigger means playing through the window, and playing through the window costs money. Set a deposit limit and a session timer before you sign up. The Hollywoodbets app lets you set both. If you find yourself increasing the limit to stay in the window, that is the moment to stop and call the SARGF helpline on 0800 006 008.
